Origami  In  The  DooDah Parade 2006 Our Goal:  To present origami to parade Viewers.  To show origami "fun", education origami,  art origami, and more! Our Group:  Will be colorful,  Bright, With "Wow" Quality!  We want to WOW Pasadena and expose them to ORIGAMI!!! We might have music.. Origami Rap, We might do some formation folding! We will share origami with parade goers We want Pasadena to remember the           "ORIGAMI    ORIGINALS!!" We want to be fun, informative, visible for TV cameras!   We will not be silly,  or outrageous, but we will be NOTICABLE! Participants: Friends of origami, co-workers and staff of Pasadena organizations, community members who know Origami Designs, -  teachers,  & students of Origami Designs are invited to participate  (family members of young students are invited  & encouraged to participate.) "Origami Originals" 2006  IS the year!    Origami Designs is putting Together a TEAM of folders, & enthusiasts, To participate in the DooDah Parade 2006       In Pasadena  November 19, Sunday                        Contact: Barbara  626-676-8134  10  8 M  Sat - Group Partipants:  Friends of Origami,    StIudents of Origami Designs.   Casual Folders,    Educators,    Adults & *children *  (Children students of Origami Designs or those accompanied by parent with permission of OrigamiDesigns) PLEASE  Contact Barbara if you are interested in participating  with us in the PARADE! - YOU   DO  NOT need to be a folder to march with us.  Beginners and enthusiasts are welcome to apply! - First Mtg  soon   -  informal interviews,  for those not yet introduced to Origami Designs will be then!! -  WE     WILL     HAVE     A      GREAT   GROUP       &      A      GREAT     TIME! -  There  will be a MEETING  soon to give details,  choose positions, preferences and MORE! -  You can  1.  design an Origami Costume,  or 2.  we will help you,  OR  3.  you can just wear a Hat with origami 4. or you can carry a special model, 5.  push a model,  . pass out origami or flyers to the crowd   or .  carry a  Pole with origami designs,   8.  Have a folding modeling.  WE  have something for everyone who wants to  be in the parade with Origami Originals!!       $$ There is a $10 fee for each participant, set by the Parade Committee $$ ORIGAMI  DESIGNS   HAS   RESERVED   OUR  SPACE  IN THE  PARADE! JOIN THE GROUP We'll have great  fun!!

Origami  Designs   is putting together the team!  We want to have a fun,  colorful, "WOW"  group! We are going to have our own vehicle with Dragon Origami  Sculpture riding on top of a VERY  SPECIAL ONE  OF  A  KIND  SURPRISE  Car!   SEE larger photo of dragon below!  We have a "world's largest rose model",  we have fantastic props, models, $ more. We will have our own front  banner.  Are you an artist, teacher, professional person, who folds or always wanted to fold something .?. (we'll teach you before the parade) but folding is not required!   We can supply models! We have fantastic ideas for many different quick and easy costumes if you wish to wear something.  We can  provide the origami models. (some models loaned to participants must be returned at the end of the parade as these models are part of Origami Designs Model and Gallery inventory  But we wants all participants to have great origami on their hats, costumes, carts, poles, placards etc.)  IF you fold origami for your costume this all belongs to you)   Remember there is national TV coverage of the Parade, we want you to look great)  Costumes are NOT required.  Casual clothes are fine! Our group will  walk in front of our Sculpture, around the car,  and in back of the car w/sculpture.  We can do some cool stuff too! Meetings:  There will be meetings to coordinate.  If you can attend a meeting it will be helpful.  We need your name & email or ph # to contact you with meeting times & locations.   Mtgs: in Pasadena at local library branch, Yoshino Japanese Antiques, Monrovia,  & San Gabriel.  Other locations to be announced.  If you cannot attend a meeting WE can coordinate everything with you by phone!! You do not have to interact with the public while in the parade, but you can be one of "our origami ambassadors" if you wish to pass out models & flyers!
